Blackshear Sworn Into 136th General Assembly
Today, state Senator Willis E. Blackshear, Jr. (D-Dayton) took the oath of office to serve his first term in the Ohio Senate during the 136th General Assembly.
“I am honored to represent the people of District 6 in the Ohio Senate,” said Blackshear. “I am committed to addressing the issues that matter most to Ohioans. I look forward to working on policies that improve our schools, make our communities safer, and tackle the high cost of living—whether at the grocery store or through rising property taxes. Policy has the power to either propel a community forward or hold it back, and I am determined to make Ohio a place where people want to live, work, raise a family, and retire.”
Senator Blackshear will represent the 6th Senate District, which encompasses, Centerville, Dayton, Jefferson Township, Kettering, Miami Township, Moraine, Oakwood, Riverside, Trotwood, Washington Township, West Carrollton, Carlisle (part), and Springboro (part).
