Thursday night brought a deadly EF-3 tornado to Auglaize and Logan counties, creating a debris field several miles long and destroying many homes and businesses in the Indian Lake Neighborhood. Three people died. The damage assessment is underway. The response was immediate, as local and state emergency crews helped search homes and secure the area. The community is well on its way to recovery, although there is much work to be done. Neighbors know how to help each other. They call it the "Lake Effect" in the Indian Lake community.

There was a tremendous outpouring of support with tons of donated food and clothes made avaialble at Indian Lake High School. Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman and Senator Rob McColley represent the area and joined Governor Mike DeWine for an aerial and ground level view of the devastation.
