Gerrymandering Campaign Gets Touchy Over Questions About Their Secret Funds
Secret, out-of-state, dark money.
So secret in fact, $6.6 million of it came from an organization founded by a billionaire who is not a citizen of the United States of America.
Ask any Ohioan who really works for a living, how they would describe an effort funded by millions in foreign money designed to takeover the state constitution, and they would tell you that those people are a bunch of traitors who can’t be trusted.
Trust isn’t something the people behind Issue 1 care about. Neither is accountable government. The only things they’re concerned about counting are the millions of dollars cloaked by a 501(c)(4).
Cleveland.com asked former Supreme Court Chief Justice, Maureen O’Connor, who joined the DC special interests to be their spokesperson, about the dark money funding the Issue 1 campaign.
In a laugh out loud moment, the paper wrote:
“But the backers of the proposed constitutional amendment say they’re not attached to any liberal puppet masters. The out-of-state support they’ve received-is understandable, they say, given that people around the country care about good government in one of the nation’s most prominent states.”
O’Connor told the Cleveland.com editorial board that,
“Democracy and the respect for democracy and the promulgation of democracy doesn’t stop at the borders of Ohio.”
Funny how the far left campaign O’Connor is working for crosses multiple borders, including foreign, to fund their power grab.
Here is a little reminder of who is funding her employment.
The Sixteen Thirty Fund founded by a Swiss billionaire contributed $6.6 million.
Article 4 headquartered in D.C. contributed $2 million.
The Tides Foundation headquartered in San Francisco contributed $2 million.
Those are just three examples.
More than 85% of the funding of this $25 million campaign came from out-of-state dark money groups. Make no mistake, this is not a grass roots, down home, citizens effort started by Ohioans. It is a dishonest campaign funded by the progressive deep state swamp.

To its credit, cleveland.com quoted the President’s Podcast with Senate President Matt Huffman who said, “For these folks who are sponsoring this, it’s only about party and power and that power being controlled by people on national and international basis.”
We call our newsroom, “The Views, The News, Excludes.” It is good to see legacy media citing our content. They don’t have to agree with us, or like us, but we stand by our stories, because we build a case based on a foundation of facts.
Watch our President’s Podcast this week, featuring Senate President Matt Huffman, Governor Mike DeWine, Senator Rob McColley, Senator Theresa Gavarone, Secretary of State Frank LaRose and former Secretary of State Ken Blackwell.
They deliver hard hitting facts about the people behind Issue 1. They highlight how it gerrymanders power for the progressive left which is simply trying to buy a win with millions of dollars from their friends in the D.C. Swamp.
