More than 200 homes were demolished or seriously damaged by the March EF-3 tornado that blasted Lakeview, Ohio, and the surrounding communities near Indian Lake. Senate President Matt Huffman joined local leaders to craft an immediate plan for a state response to help people who lost their homes, or whose homes aren't safe live in.

The effort to provide funding for temporary housing is underway and is being coordinated through the Governor's Office.  A plan to provide RV's for people to live-in and park on their property was proposed, which would provide a faster and more economical response than waiting for the federal goverment to act, if at all.

Watch our behind the scenes look at the meeting in Lakeview, Ohio where the first steps of a proposal for relief were developed.

We will keep you updated when the response is finalized.
