Patriot Day 25 Years Later-Protecting the Sacrifice of the Brave Souls who Died for Freedom

25 years.

25 years since that bright blue Tuesday morning without a cloud in the sky turned into a dark day of terror.
Smoke billowed from the Twin Towers in New York City as firefighters rushed into the doomed buildings to rescue the innocent souls inside.

A third hijacked passenger jet flown by Islamic terrorists hit the Pentagon.
Yet, the resilience of this country emerged that day as average, everyday American Patriots fought back!

Flight 93 crossed into Cleveland Air Traffic Control airspace with no radio response. On board, the passengers developed a plan that launched the first counter attack with Todd Beamer's famed "Let's Roll." Their heroic self-sacrifice saved countless lives at the next target which was potentially again in Washington, D.C.

Soon after, American flags flew from porches and patios. We were hit, but as Americans, we knew who we were and what we stood for.

Freedom.

On this 25th anniversary of Patriot Day we welcome a survivor from Ground Zero to a very special President's Podcast.

Carol Webster was on a train pulling into the World Trade Center when the attack started. The New York Times ran a story days later quoting people who watched in horror and ran for their lives. That story included Carol. On The President's Podcast, she shares with us her story of survival and sorrow, and she highlights a poignant message for an entire generation of Americans who weren't even born yet and who maybe don't understand the true meaning of why September 11th is called Patriot Day. 

Recently the Canadian Broadcasting Company was criticized for an internal memo that required the word "terrorism"  to be removed from stories covering what was clearly a terror attack. The sympathy for Islamic terrorists is chilling and represents a danger to our freedom as there are those who seek to erase or change the memory and history of that day.

Yet we have faith. Faith in God. Faith in our country and our freedom. Following Carol's interview stay tuned for a special message about faith in the face of evil.
