Senate Appoints Jane Timken to Open 29th District Seat
Ohio Senate President Rob McColley announced that Jane Timken has been selected to become the new Senator for the 29th District, representing the Canton area and most of Stark County.
The appointment to the Senate will cover the remainder of the unexpired term of late Senator Kirk Schuring who served the area for more than thirty years.
"Jane has big shoes to fill replacing the legendary Kirk Schuring, but I have no doubt that she will be a fantastic senator for the 29th District," said Senate President Rob McColley. "Jane Timken is a proven conservative who brings a unique skillset of economic development, public policy and politics to the Senate. I'm confident she will be an outstanding advocate for all Ohioans."

Timken is a native Ohioan, former Chair of The Ohio Republican Party, former Vice-Chair of the Stark County Republican Party, and is a Republican National Committeewoman.
Timken will be elected to the position by the Republican members of the Ohio Senate at its next session on Wednesday January 29th.
