Making election security constitutional law.

The Ohio Senate voted to put a constitutional amendment before the voters this fall that would require a photo id to vote.

Both chambers need a 3/5 vote to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot for voters to consider.

The Senate passed the resolution with 22 votes.

Every democrat voted against SJR 10.

Why would anyone vote against elevating photo id to the highest level of law in Ohio?

Maybe because the legislatures in Hawaii and Viriginia voted to repeal photo id as part of their election law. That's the danger. Legislatures that decide to pull a common sense voter identification law off the books.

This week the co-sponsors of SJR 10 join The President's Podcast.

Senator Theresa Gavarone and Senator Jane Timken Sponsored SJR 10
