Data Centers.

Death Stars or The Force of the Future?

The battle rages on social media flowing from smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktops to one common place. That's a data center cloud. So when even the most virulent opposition in a fit of doom arms an anti-data center post on their Galaxy AI and hits send-in reality it goes to a cloud not so far-far away.

For those who don't get the Star Wars reference—ask Siri or Google AI to explain it from their data center.

This week the Ohio General Assembly's Joint Data Center Committee launched the first of several hearings on data center development for the state.

To be clear, data centers have been here for years, but now they're being politically targeted with a well funded misinformation campaign from coastal special interests that want to make sure your data is stored in communist China.

During the three hour hearing, the committee heard from several state agencies including the Ohio EPA, ODNR, PUCO, Ohio Consumers Counsel, and the Director of the Data Center Coalition Dan Diorio, who is an expert on energy transmission.

We boiled it down to 7 minutes covering clouds to water quality.

Watch the highlights here.

Senator Brian Chavez co-chairs the committee and joins The President's Podcast this week.

He talks about the mission of the committee and addresses the scare tactics seeping through social media attacking these high tech data libraries that secure your personal information.

Responsible data center development protects your family's data, it protects your country, and protects the environment.
