Timken Takes Oath of Office for 29th District
Jane Timken took the oath of office to serve as Ohio's new senator from the 29th District at the Senate's voting session on Wednesday.
Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy delivered the oath of office to Timken, as she was joined by her husband and brother and sister.

Senator Timken delivered a heartfelt and touching floor speech recognizing the legacy of late Senator Kirk Schuring who served the Canton area for more than three decades.
"I was sworn in today on Senator Kirk Schuring's Bible," said Senator Timken. "Senator Schuring served Stark County and all of Ohio with honor, integrity, and he was a force of nature, a true public servant, and my plan is to be a good and honorable public servant and work true and hard for my district."

Senator Timken joins the President's Podcast this week.
She talks about Ohio's tax policy, emerging opportunities for the state's energy industry, higher education reform, and highlights the overall political landscape in the Buckeye State.
