Ohio was "The Heart of It All" for political science and the science of astronomy this week.

The total solar eclipse delivered a once in lifetime event for many, as totality crossed a large part of Ohio on Monday.

Watch our story from Indian Lake in Logan County where we captured an amazing shot of the “Ring of Fire” during totality, as Senator Steve Huffman, Senator Rob McColley and their families watched daytime turn into nighttime.

Wednesday, political science wonks tuned into Governor Mike DeWine’s State of the State Address.

He delivered a thoughtful speech, focused on children’s health, education, and access to childcare.

Access to the November ballot made national headlines this week, as Democrats were notified by the Secretary of State that if they wait until after their convention, Joe Biden would miss the official deadline to officially appear on the Ohio ballot this fall.

Watch the President’s Podcast as Senate President Matt Huffman responds to the Governor’s State of the State Address, and the story that put Ohio back into the presidential spotlight.
