Victory! In depth with Senator Jerry Cirino on the President's Podcast

Some things are worth fighting for.
Senate Bill 1, was one of them.
The Advance Ohio Higher Education Act was a more than two year poltical battle that faced a two front attack by the left of Identitiy Politics and Class Warfare.
Dozens of hours of hearings were held between the first version of the bill, Senate Bill 83 that was introduced in the 135th General Assembly, and today's newly enacted law, Senate Bill 1.
We've witnessed the radical nature on campus, including demonstrations and protests in support of terror groups, and outright political intimidation on campus. Yet the democrats said it wasn't happening. Senator Jerry Cirino knew it was happening, and took a stand on behalf of the future of Ohio's institutions of higher education.
This commitment for positive change on campus has made Ohio a model for the rest of the country.
The law is getting national attention. Watch Senator Cirino's interview on Fox News this week.
Read the column from a former Ohio State University professor who spent three decades on campus as he details the not so subtle level of intimidation and cancel culture he witnessed from the faculty. Credit to the Columbus Dispatch for being brave enough to print a column that the faculty union won't like.
The faculty union for too long has believed that it runs the university, and that the university exists for them. Now the message has been sent, that the mission of the university is education rather than indoctrination, and that the faculty is no longer permitted to strike, or use the threat of a strike for contract leverage because it simply holds the students, their education, and their tuition hostage.
Lastly, Division, Exclusion, and Inequality. Otherwise known as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is no longer the discriminatory standard that loomed over the hiring process. The woke supergeniuses who thought that discrimination cloaked in diversity was the answer to ending discrimination have no business teaching our students anything.
This week on the President's Podcast, we look back at Senate Bill 1, and Senator Jerry Cirino's committment, tenacity, and fight that yielded results for the future of Ohio.
