Who Are The Real Extremists?

The left loves to call the right extremists. Radicals. Outside the mainstream. Just one problem with that in Ohio. Voters keep electing Republicans. Does that make Ohio voters extremists, too? Don't laugh – that's exactly what leftists think. In his column after another GOP landslide victory last November, the Plain Dealer's Brent Larkin bitterly lectured voters, "Ohio’s legislature is one of the nation’s most extremist."

But, who are the real extremists? The vast majority of Americans who embrace traditional values or the party that thinks men can have babies? The party that thinks boys should compete with girls in sports? That babies are born racist? That concerned parents are domestic terrorists? The party that teaches sexual politics to kindergartners?

Consider this. You're an average American working hard to support your family, pay your taxes, and have a decent life. You obey the law and try to be a good neighbor. And you happen to vote GOP. Are you an extremist? President Joe Biden says yes. The worst extremist, ever. 

“This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history,” said Biden. Really? Remember, he's talking about half the electorate. The half that didn't vote for him. 

Doesn't Biden’s statement itself seem rather extreme? What would make him say that? Perhaps it's because it's the Democrats who have undergone an extreme makeover. That was the gist behind this cartoon Elon Musk posted on Twitter.

Democrats have moved so far to the left and become so extreme that the only way they can attempt to justify their positions as mainstream is to redefine the center. Democrats moved their center to the far left and now call anyone to their right an extremist. Think about where the left used to be and where it is now. Something has changed – dramatically.

President John F. Kennedy was a tax-cutter and ardent anti-communist. Democrats used to follow Martin Luther King's advice to judge people on the content of their character, not the color of their skin. President Jimmy Carter opposed abortion. Now? President Biden's Supreme Court pick couldn’t even define what a woman is.

President Clinton's former campaign strategist, James Carville, says Democrats now suffer from "stupid wokeness." Too much time spent "talking about veganism and pronouns." Carville warns Democrats, "This defund the police lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln's name off of schools. I mean that — people see that."

The Democrats still try to sound mainstream. But look at what they say, then think about what it really means to any normal, rational person.

• "Defund the police." Legalize crime.
• "Men can have babies." Science is what we say it is.
• "We need protection from disinformation." We support censorship.
• "We oppose Don't Say Gay bills." We support teaching sexual orientation and gender identity to five-year-olds.
• "School boards know better than parents." These are our kids, now.
• "Gun control saves lives." We don't want you to defend yourself.
• "We are feminists." We’re fine with males taking showers in female locker rooms.
• "We support green energy." We want to make gas unaffordable.
• "America is racist." If you disagree you're a racist.
• "We won't tolerate hate." We hate anyone who disagrees with us.

It's the people who think men can have babies who are extreme. It's the people who want to defund the police who are extreme. The people who want to sexualize kindergartners. The people who don't want parents to know what their kids are taught. The people who want to kill babies up until the moment of birth. It's the people who think America needs a fundamental transformation who are extreme. 

They don't want to coexist. They want to crush traditional America and remake it in their own radically woke image. But, there is hope. Democrats have gone so far left that they have revealed their true colors. The radical reality behind woke beliefs is shocking. Traditional Americans need to send these radical extremists to the dustbin of history. That would be extremely sensible.
