COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) announced that multiple community colleges and career technical centers that serve the 26th Senate District have received Super RAPIDS grant funding. $40 million was awarded to 81 higher education institutions across the state to support workforce needs by upgrading lab and classroom spaces with modern equipment.

"I was proud to support funding for the Super RAPIDS initiative in the state budget this year," Reineke said. "The funds going to our local higher education institutions will directly benefit students and area businesses in need of skilled workers in growing fields."

The following institutions serving residents of the 26th Senate District were awarded grant dollars:

Terra State Community College
Marion Technical College
Pioneer Career and Technology Center
North Central State College
Tolles Career and Technical Center

Funds from the grant program will support facility upgrades to strengthen education and training programs that enhance regional workforce development goals. Super RAPIDS collaborates with local businesses to ensure the awards address specific workforce needs in local communities.

Super RAPIDS funding is a one-time boost to the traditional RAPIDS program at the Ohio Department of Higher Education, which has previously given grants to qualifying higher education institutions for similar work. House Bill 33, the state's main operating budget, allocated these dollars for the grant program.
