COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) wants to remind everyone across the state, and families living in the 26th Senate District, to make the most of the back-to-school sales tax holiday, August 5-7.
“The sales tax holiday is a critical and effective tool to relieve some of the financial burdens caused by inflation, supply chain issues, and the start of a new school year,” said Reineke. “Please take advantage of this weekend to help prepare your children and students for the upcoming school year while saving hard-earned dollars.”
Senate Bill 226 in the 132nd General Assembly created a permanent three-day sales tax "holiday" each August, during which sales of clothing and school supplies are exempt from sales and use tax.
