COLUMBUS— The Honorable Mary Katherine Huffman of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas this week administered the oath of office to State Senator Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) marking the beginning of his first four-year term in the Ohio Senate. This week's opening ceremonies also served as the official start of the 134th Ohio General Assembly.

Reineke serves as State Senator for the 26th Senate District, which includes all of Union, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot counties.

"I am honored to serve the people of the 26th Ohio Senate District," Reineke said. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue the effort of strengthening Ohio's economy, creating jobs and holding government accountable to its people."

Prior to being elected to the Senate, Reineke served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a business partner in Reineke Family Dealerships, a three-generation family business started in 1960 by his father. The business has grown to include ten dealerships selling autos, trucks and RVs and employs over 400 full and part-time workers. Reineke has also been active in community development and has worked closely with the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, Tiffin Seneca Economic Partnership, Tiffin Tomorrow, and Tiffin Rotary Club.

Reineke was raised in Fostoria as the oldest of ten children. He is a 37-year resident of Tiffin and the proud father of two daughters. Read more about Senator Reineke here. The opening session and swearing-in ceremony can be watched on OhioChannel.org.
