Reineke Touts Key Provisions In Senate Budget

COLUMBUS— This week, State Senator Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) joined his colleagues to pass Substitute House Bill 110, the Senate's proposal for Ohio's FY 2022-2023 operating budget.
"This budget was designed to help Ohioans," said Reineke. "It will increase the opportunities, especially for the poorest among us, to become more educated, to live better, and to have access to affordable daycare."
Major provisions in the Senate's plan include a five percent income tax cut for working Ohioans, a financially sustainable school funding plan, investments in local governments, and increased funding for health and human services. Additionally, Senator Reineke fought for a number of key provisions during the committee process that will have a major impact in the the local community and across the state of Ohio, including:

- Continuing funding for the PIVOT Drug Court Program
- Changes to STEM funding and ensuring career technical training opportunities to help work force development
- Increase child care availability
- Increasing the force account limits to lower the cost of infrastructure maintenance for Counties
