COLUMBUS—State Senator Brian Chavez (R-Marietta) recognized Mason Francis, a swimmer for Warren High School, for his achievements as OHSAA Division II Champion in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle swim.

"The school and community should be very proud of Mason and all that he has accomplished," said Senator Chavez. "His performance in the pool is remarkable and I look forward to watching his continued success."

A senior at Warren High School in Vincent, Mason Francis set a Division II state record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 43.55 seconds. He was named the Division II Most Valuable Player by the Ohio High School Swim Coaches Association. Mason will graduate with six individual medals (6x All-Ohio) as well as four state titles.
