Louis W. Blessing III Takes the Oath of Office to Represent Ohio's 8th Senate District

COLUMBUS—State Senator Louis W. Blessing III (R-Colerain Township) yesterday was sworn in as the newest member of the Ohio Senate. Senate Republicans unanimously voted during session to approve the screening committee recommendation to fill the vacancy in Ohio's 8th Senate District, which encompasses a portion of Hamilton County.
"It is an honor to serve the people of Hamilton County in this new capacity, and I thank everyone who has shown their support," said Senator Blessing. "It is my hope that my prior legislative experience will serve me well in the Ohio Senate, and I look forward to hitting the ground running to promote policies that will have a positive impact on the lives of the people of Ohio and my district."
Previously, Senator Blessing served in the Ohio House of Representatives since 2013. He also works as a licensed professional engineer who currently works for Super Systems, Inc., and previously at Duke Energy and Nova Engineering.
