COLUMBUS—State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) today issued the following statement in regards to the Senate's passage of Senate Bill 22: "The changes I proposed were accepted in Senate Bill 22, compelling me to support the bill. Under the amended version of SB 22, the new Ohio Health Oversight and Advisory Committee will work with any administration during a public health emergency and hear from experts on the findings and research regarding any established public health orders. Then, the committee will report to the legislature so all 132 members, not a handpicked 6, can make an informed, fact-based, science-driven decision on the status of any emergency order.

With my changes, the General Assembly now has the opportunity and duty to engage with the Governor on health orders, and to make informed decisions for the well-being and safety of the Ohioans we were elected to represent."
