Dolan Named Legislator of the Year by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio
COLUMBUS—State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) today was named the 2021 Legislator of the Year by The Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO).

Senator Dolan was selected for his leadership and commitment to children and families involved in the children services system. As Finance Chairman, Dolan worked to increase the investment in the State Child Protective Allocation (SCPA). The SCPA appropriates funds to the county public children services agencies (PCSAs) to offset increased placement costs and protect, stabilize, and meet the complex needs of children and their families. PCSAO is a private, non-profit association of the county public children services agencies charged with child protection throughout the state. "These agencies do important work in my district and throughout Ohio, and I am glad that the legislature took extra steps in the state's budget this year to give them the support they need to serve Ohio's children," said Dolan. During the conference, five individuals were also honored with the “Rising Up and Moving On” Award, which recognizes former foster youth who have overcome adversity and worked to become a positive influence in their communities.
