COLUMBUS—State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) today applauded local school districts that were named by U.S. News and World Report as the best high schools in Ohio.

Solon High School, Chagrin Falls High School, Rocky River High School, Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, Bay Village High School, Independence High School, Orange High School and Cuyahoga Heights High School were all ranked among the top 25 of the 902 Ohio high schools.

“I want to congratulate the superintendents, boards of education, staff and, most importantly, the teachers, of the schools who are rated so highly," said Dolan.

The schools are ranked based on college readiness, math and reading proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

"The high-quality rating is a direct reflection on the quality of your service and dedication to your students," Dolan added. "Your hard work should be celebrated." To see the full ranking from U.S. News and World Report visit www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/ohio/rankings.
