COLUMBUS—The Ohio Senate will mark the beginning of the 134th General Assembly on Monday, January 4, 2021 with the Senators and Senators-elect taking their constitutional oaths of office.
During the official first session of the new General Assembly, State Senator Matt Huffman (R-Lima) will be officially elected by his colleagues as President of the Ohio Senate and will take the oath to assume leadership of the chamber, along with other members of the leadership team. The Honorable Mary Katherine Huffman of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas will administer the oath.
