Huffman Honors Lima Central Catholic High School Girls Golf Team on State Championship

COLUMBUS—State Senator Matt Huffman (R-Lima), on Wednesday honored the Lima Central Catholic (LCC) High School Girls Golf team on their 2018 OHSAA State Championship.

“It is a privilege to recognize this extraordinary group of young women," said Huffman. "This team has demonstrated their strength of heart and made the entire community very proud."

This is the first state title for LCC in girls golf school history, winning the state championship by 22 strokes and tying the Division II, overall team record. Two golfers earned All-Ohio honors, Sophomores Mary Kelly Mulcahy and Erin Mulcahy.

The team ended their season with a 126-5 record, coached by Dan Reinicke.
