STATEMENT: Huffman Praises Cargill's $225M Expansion Plan in Sidney

COLUMBUS - State Senator Matt Huffman (R-Lima) today issued the following statement regarding the recent announcement that Cargill Inc., plans to invest $225M to expand the existing soy bean crush facility in Sidney, Ohio:
"I was pleased to learn that Cargill Inc. will expand in Sidney, bringing jobs, boosting the economy and creating opportunities for our local farmers," said Huffman. "The selection was the result of collaborative efforts between local leaders and community stakeholders. Sidney welcomes the jobs and economic development that this project will bring to the area." The company employs more than 1,400 people at 19 facilities throughout Ohio, directly investing approximately $970 million in the state, prior to this project.
