Reynolds Applauds House Passage of Jo Ann Davidson Day Bill

COLUMBUS—State Senator Michele Reynolds (R-Canal Winchester) applauds the Ohio House for its unanimous passage of Senate Bill 14 to designate September 28 as Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Day.

"I commend the House for unanimously approving this legislation that celebrates one of the most impactful legislators Ohio has had," said Senator Reynolds. "Speaker Davidson blazed a trail that so many after her have followed. I look forward to seeing this bill signed into law in honor of her legacy."

Speaker Davidson served in the Ohio House for more than two decades. She held leadership roles as assistant minority whip, minority whip, and minority leader before her election as speaker in 1995.

Davidson was born on September 28 in 1927. She passed away on October 25, 2024, at age 97.
