Reynolds Commends OhioHealth for Expansion in Canal Winchester
COLUMBUS—Senator Michele Reynolds (R-Canal Winchester) applauds the news that OhioHealth will construct a $31 million dollar outpatient campus in Canal Winchester. The 40,000 square foot facility will include OhioHealth’s first new freestanding emergency department in the Central Ohio region in five years as well as primary care and specialty care services.
“OhioHealth’s investment in Canal Winchester yet again demonstrates Central Ohio’s emergence as a national leader for quality healthcare,” Reynolds said. “I am pleased that this growing community will have access to state-of-the-art facilities to meet a wide variety of healthcare needs for area residents.”
This announcement comes with the news that OhioHealth will be investing over $1 billion dollars in the expansion of its Riverside Methodist Hospital and Grant Medical Center locations. Ohio Health employs over 30,000 people, making it the ninth-largest employer in the State of Ohio.
