Reynolds Congratulates New Albany Boys Baseball Team on World Series Bid
COLUMBUS—Senator Michele Reynolds (R-Canal Winchester) congratulates the New Albany Eagles Middle School Boys team on their regional championship victory, securing them a trip to the Little League World Series for the first time in school history. The Eagles will be representing the Great Lakes Region in the tournament.
“As a mother of two sons myself, I understand how difficult it can be for our children to balance sports and extracurricular activities while maintaining success in the classroom,” Reynolds said. “I am so proud of each and every one of the players on this baseball team, and I believe their victory last week not only demonstrates their talent on the baseball field, but off of it as well. I look forward to cheering them on as they play on the world stage.”
The Eagles’ victory marks the furthest that a Little League Baseball team from Central Ohio has ever advanced. The team now heads to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to make their debut Little League World Series appearance on Thursday, August 17th.
