COLUMBUS-The Ohio Senate passed House Bill 34, which creates a jury duty exemption for a mother who is breast feeding a child one year old or younger. State Senator Michele Reynolds (R-Canal Winchester) voted in favor of the legislation.

“I was proud to stand in support of House Bill 34. The legislation was inspired by an Ohioan who had to follow through with her civic duty despite having recently given birth," Reynolds said. "This is a common sense bill that creates flexibility for our new mothers and is simply the right thing to do."

House Bill 34 unanimously passed the Ohio Senate. The bill now goes to the Governor for his signature.
