Manning Announces Funding for Infrastructure Upgrades at Lorain Correctional Institution

COLUMBUS — State Senator Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) is proud to announce that the Ohio Controlling Board approved the distribution of funds for Lorain Correctional Institution to provide necessary upgrades for the facility's flooring system.

"These funds ensure that Lorain Correctional Institution has the infrastructure it needs to maintain the facility for continued use," said Senator Manning. "I'm grateful to see these funds distributed to Lorain Correctional Institution and look forward to seeing the upgrades applied at the facility."

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction requested the release of $2,354,702.97 in capital funds from the Ohio Controlling Board as part of the construction phase of the Entry Building & Housing Unit Doors Renovation Project at Lorain Correctional Institution. The funds will be used to remove existing flooring, repair the current subflooring, and install a new flooring system.
