COLUMBUS - State Senator Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) announced the Ohio Controlling Board approved the distribution of $250,000 for the remediation of a former gas station in North Ridgeville.
Once cleaned up, the site will host community events such as festivals and farmers markets.
"This grant is welcome news for us in North Ridgeville," Manning said. "I look forward to the opportunities this space will provide for all of neighbors once the project is complete."
The funds will be utilized for soil and ground water remediation at the Center Ridge Road location. This money comes from the Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant through the Ohio Department of Development.
