Antonio Applauds District 23 School Districts for Report Card Progress
Today, Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) applauded Lakewood City Schools, Westlake City Schools, Rocky River City Schools, and Bay Village City Schools for meeting state standards on the Ohio State Report Card released by the Department of Education and Workforce (DEW). Leader Antonio also acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the Cleveland Municipal School District in striving to meet state academic benchmarks.
“I am proud of the educators and students who have earned impressive scores on the state report card,” said Antonio. “I am especially proud of Lakewood City Schools for improving their graduation rate score and earning an impressive 4-star rating this year. This reflects the hard work and dedication that students and staff have invested in improving their educational outcomes. With great pleasure, I join parents and community members in celebrating this outstanding achievement.”
The report cards, which evaluate the progress of districts and schools across the state in their efforts to prepare students for the future, are released annually, providing a snapshot of student performance and school quality across the state.
