Antonio, Smith Call for CSX Leadership to Meet with Collinwood Rail Yard Workers

Today, Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) and Senate Democratic Whip Kent Smith (D-Euclid) sent a letter to CSX’s corporate leadership calling on the freight railroad company to meet with their Cleveland-based employees and reevaluate their intended crew staffing changes.

“These workers in our districts provide safe and efficient rail service, which allows your company– and the greater eastern United States– to benefit from reliable transit,” read the letter. “Rather than looking to trim the railyard in Cleveland, we would encourage you to meet with workers at the Collinwood facility as early as possible.”
