Antonio Statement on Election Results

Today, Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) released the following statement regarding the November 3 election results:

“The people of Ohio have spoken, and it’s clear that they are ready for change,” said Antonio. “The results of the election are a resounding rebuke of the Republicans’ unpopular agenda, showing that Ohioans want us to work together to bring costs down and make life better. I’m especially proud of our team and candidates as we picked up two additional seats in the Senate Democratic Caucus. As we enter lame duck, Democrats remain ready to work with our colleagues across the aisle to end this General Assembly in a way that shows Ohioans that governing requires bipartisanship and a willingness to work together to honor the message legislators have received in this election.”
