Antonio Statement on Senate OTSCIF Proposal

Today, Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lawkeood) issued a statement following the introduction of Senate Bill 288, the Senate’s proposal for the One Time Strategic Community Investment Funds (OTSCIF). 

“These investments will be transformational for our Ohio communities – large and small – urban, suburban and rural.” said Antonio. “While this proposal is not final, I look forward to the continued collaboration to fund these vital projects across our state.”

The One Time Strategic Community Investment Funds are state dollars set aside in the recent operating budget, House Bill 33, to be invested in Ohio’s communities. These funds are separate from the traditional capital budget, which may provide additional funding to these, as well as other, projects across the state.

Senate Bill 288 now awaits hearings in the Senate Finance Committee.
