O'Brien Recognizes State Champion Chardon High School Football Team

COLUMBUS—State Senator Sandra O'Brien (R-Astabula) today recognized the State Champion Chardon High School football team for the historic accomplishment of being the first football team in OHSAA history to post a perfect 16-0 record.
“The Chardon Hilltoppers continue to carve their legacy into the storied history of Ohio football, not only with a state championship, but achieving perfection on the season,” said O'Brien.
Chardon High earned the OHSAA Division III title on December 3rd by defeating the Hamilton Badin Rams 21-14 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.
This is the Hilltoppers third state championship, and second in a row. The team is now on a 28-game winning streak, extending back to the 2020 season.
