$3.5 Billion Investment for Ohio's Communities, Senator Steve Wilson Secures $7.6 Million for District Projects

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) announced more than $7.6 million in funding for key community projects in the 7th Senate District.

The legislature generally approves a capital budget every two years, which provides funding for needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, and mental health and addiction facilities.

The Lebanon Scenic Railway Bridge received $750,000 as did the Butler County Fairgrounds Grandstands, along with numerous other local projects.

“I am very pleased that this funding will go to much needed projects in the district,” said Senator Wilson. “This will help keep our communities vibrant and continue moving Ohio forward.”

  • Lebanon Scenic Railway Bridge $750,000

  • South Lebanon Veteran's Park Playground $110,000
  • Middletown Entertainment and Sports Venue $100,000
  • Clearcreek Township / Pickleball Courts at Patricia Allyn Park $100,000
  • Warren County Community Services $75,000
  • YMCA Competitive Sports Training Facility $75,000
  • Pleasant Square Community Center $75,000

  • Butler County Fairgrounds Grandstands $750,000
  • West Chester UC Health GME Family Medicine Center $500,000
  • National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting $500,000
  • College@ELM Innovation and Workforce Center at Miami $500,000
  • Butler County Correctional Complex Medical Unit $500,000

The Capital Budget will now go to the Governor's desk for signing.
