COLUMBUS - The State Senate today passed a bill sponsored by Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) and Senator George Lang (R-West Chester) which allows employers to post labor law notices on the internet.

Senate Bill 96 still permits Ohio employers to display a copy of the labor law notices in their business but also gives them the flexibility of posting these notices online.

"The purpose of this bill is to make Ohio the best place to do business in the 21st century," said Wilson. "In a world where remote or hybrid work is becoming the norm, we want to make sure Ohio employers are afforded the flexibility to focus on their employees, products, and services; rather than be restricted by regulatory red-tape."

This bill will allow employees to access such information more easily and will reduce compliance costs for employers who opt to utilize the digital notices instead of printed copies.

The bill now heads to the Ohio House for consideration
