Wilson Announces Funding Approval for Community Projects

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) is pleased to announce the approval of $650,000 in funding for community projects across Senate District 7.

Approved by the Ohio Office of Budget and Management Director, Kimberly Murnieks, the funding will be directed to the Mayerson Jewish Community Center for improvement projects as well as to Sycamore Township for their Veterans Memorial project.

"Securing funding for these projects is a significant achievement for everyone involved," said Senator Wilson. "Each of these projects betters the communities they are intended to serve and I look forward to seeing their completion."

Of the funds approved, $500,000 is directed toward the expansion of the Mayerson JCC Early Childhood School and Fitness Center. Sycamore Township will receive $150,000 for the construction of a Veterans Memorial at Bechtold Park. Senator Wilson voted in favor of these funds as a part of Ohio's Capital Budget.
