Wilson Applauds Senate Passage Of Bill Protecting The Dignity Of Life For Aborted Fetal Remains
COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) today joined his Senate colleagues in passing legislation aimed at addressing the appalling abortion industry practice of desecrating aborted fetal remains by disposing of them via public landfills.

“Ohio cannot continue to overlook the utter disregard for the unborn that is demonstrated when babies are cast aside in the manner we have seen,” said Senator Wilson. “I remain dedicated to protecting Ohio's most vulnerable by ensuring their bodies are properly disposed of, upholding the dignity, respect and sanctity of human life.”

Provisions of the bill state that an abortion facility can only dispose of aborted remains through the use of cremation or interment and grants the mother the right to determine the final disposition of the remains.

Under current law, the Ohio Revised Code does not contain procedures regarding the disposal of aborted infant remains.

Senator Wilson is a co-sponsor of Senate Bill 28, which now goes to the House of Representatives for further consideration.
