Wilson Celebrates Workforce Initiatives with Warren County School Districts
Joins Lieutenant Governor Husted in Congratulating Area Seniors During Signing Day Event

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) today joined Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted, Warren County Educational Services Center Superintendent Tom Isaacs, and student representatives from around Warren County to celebrate In-Demand Jobs Week with a group signing event for outgoing seniors who have chosen to pursue rewarding and high-demand careers after high school.
"It was marvelous to spend time with these incredible students, as well as their families and educators who have supported them along the way," said Wilson. "As a third generation Navy veteran, I am particularly proud of the students who have made the brave decision to pursue a life of selflessness and sacrifice by enlisting in the United States military."
The ceremony took place at Lebanon High School, with students from 12 participating schools including:
- Carlisle High School
- Franklin High School
- Greater Ohio Virtual School
- John Lazares Alternative School
- Kings High School
- Lebanon High School
- Little Miami High School
- Mason High School
- Springboro High School
- Warren County Career Center
- Waynesville High Schoo
- Warren County Adult Connections Program
"I wish all of the students here today the best of luck in their future endeavors," added Wilson. "Choosing a path other than college such as military or filling one of Ohio's many in-demand jobs is something to celebrate in the same way we do with our athletes and others who attend institutions of higher education."
"We have all these great opportunities that we need to continue to educate students, parents and others about," said Husted.
