Wilson Congratulates Local High Schools for National Recognition

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) recently touted the high performance of a number of local high schools for their top rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
Indian Hill High School, Turpin High School, Mariemont High School, William Mason High School and Kings Mills High School were all among the top 25 of the 313 schools ranked throughout Ohio, with 822 schools being reviewed.
Indian Hill, Turpin and Mariemont high schools were among only 19 schools across the nation to be awarded gold medals for their top-of-the-line performance.
"This kind of national recognition is a true testament to the high quality education our students are receiving," said Senator Wilson. "They are better prepared and more capable of reaching their full potential because of the passion and dedication we see every day from our teachers, administrators and parents in our community."
U.S. News and World Report ranks schools based on college readiness and performance indicators, rankings include data on more than 28,000 public schools in 50 states.
Additionally, Anderson, Loveland, Springboro, Little Miami and Waynesville high schools were rated in the top 100.
Senator Wilson serves on the Senate Standing Committee on Education, and was recently named as chairman of the Joint Committee on Ohio College Affordability.
