COLUMBUS—On Saturday, State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) joined local leaders at the dedication ceremony of the newly constructed Veterans Memorial in Springboro, Ohio.
"It was an honor to be surrounded by fellow veterans and members of our community to dedicate this beautiful memorial," said Senator Wilson. "This ceremony reminded me, once again, what a privilege it is to serve the remarkable people who live in southwest Ohio, many of them having served our nation, past and present."
The memorial, located at Gardner Park, stands to commemorate all five branches of the Unites States Armed Forces. The final structure reflects more than two decades of effort by city leaders and includes an area for quiet reflection, an honor grove of trees and a focal point for ceremonies and community events.
