COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) is reminding residents of the 7th Senate District of the upcoming back-to-school sales tax holiday, August 6-8.
“At a time when many families are struggling financially, this weekend’s sales tax holiday is an opportunity to keep more of their hard earned money,” said Wilson. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of this annual opportunity to ensure kids have the tools they need to be successful in the classroom this year.”
In the 132nd General Assembly, Wilson co-sponsored Senate Bill 226, which created a permanent three-day sales tax "holiday" each August, during which sales of clothing and school supplies are exempt from sales and use tax.
