Wilson Takes on New Role as Member of Senate Finance Committee
COLUMBUS–Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R–Medina) today appointed State Senator Steve Wilson (R–Maineville) to the Senate Finance Committee–replacing former State Senator Troy Balderson, who was recently elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

"I am honored to have been chosen to serve on this committee that oversees such a significant portion of the state's spending," said Wilson. "I look forward to using my background in banking and finance to ensure we continue to operate a balanced budget and invest in our communities in a fiscally responsible manner."

The Finance Committee reviews legislation affecting the state’s operating and capital budgets, as well as the expenditure of state funds.

“Steve’s leadership skills, work ethic and finance background make him a valued addition to the Senate’s Finance Committee,” said Obhof.

An Ohio native and long-time Warren County resident, Senator Steve Wilson has built a career of dedicated service to both his community and his profession. From the time he was honorably discharged as a Naval Officer in 1975, Senator Wilson focused his efforts on his career at Lebanon Citizens National Bank (LCNB) and public service in his community.

Additionally, Senator Wilson serves as the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Ohio College Affordability, and also sits on the Education, Insurance and Financial Institutions, Ways and Means, and Local Government, Public Safety and Veterans Affairs committees.
