COLUMBUS—State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) issued the following statement regarding the Senate's veto override of Senate Bill 22:
"The focus of this bill is bringing the legislature to the table and giving the people of Ohio a voice in matters of public health. We received over 300 proponent testimonies from Ohioans wanting to provide testimony in support of this bill as well as numerous passionate emails calling to override this veto. These people feel that they have not been heard and Senate Bill 22 gives them input on public health orders. I thank my colleagues in both the House and Senate for voting to override the veto and restoring reasonable checks and balances to Ohio."
