Johnson Recognizes 2023 Ohio Army National Guard Soldier of the Year
COLUMBUS—State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) today recognized Private First Class (PFC) Max Walls, the 2023 Ohio Army National Guard Soldier of the Year, before the Ohio Senate.
"PFC Walls has demonstrated remarkable patriotism and dedication to his country through his service," Johnson said. "He is an outstanding example of resilience, determination, and a role model to our next generation."
PFC Walls took first place amongst the junior enlisted Soldiers at the 2023 Ohio Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition, after qualifying to participate by demonstrating excellence in various war-fighting assessments and competitions earlier this year.
PFC Max Walls serves as a Military Police Officer, with the 324th Military Police Company, 437th Military Police Battalion. He is a recent graduate of Air Assault School at Ft. Campbell, KY.
