COLUMBUS - State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) was honored to be a guest at Oak Hill Elementary School's Veterans Day Celebration.

"I am thankful for these young Americans who are displaying such patriotism in remembering our veterans and showing them gratitude," Johnson said. "I hope they continue to love our country and show such strong appreciation for it and our servants in the Armed Forces."

Johnson spoke to the students as part of the event, highlighting the importance of our veterans in our nation's success and the importance of loving our country and serving others.

Johnson is a retired military officer who began his career with the Ohio Army National Guard while in medical school. He attained the rank of colonel in just 12 years.
