We are certainly living in unprecedented, dark times which will make this holiday different than years past for many families. Our churches will be empty, no large gatherings for egg hunts or family meals. Our traditions will be interrupted this Easter, but my encouragement to you is this — there is hope. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed and challenged different aspects of our lives and while our challenges are all somewhat different, the outcome we hope for is to return as quickly as possible to our normal lives. We each play an important role in slowing down the spread of COVID-19. We are working towards the same goal of saving lives, preventing our loved ones, neighbors and friends from this virus. I put my trust in God and in each one of you knowing that we will overcome this situation and emerge stronger on the other side. Our nation was founded upon faith, which is what many of us are celebrating this Easter weekend. Our faith remains a source of hope and strength. This virus does not define us, but rather is refining us to refocus on what matters most, each other, our families and our faith. Ohioans are proving their good character and care for one another during this time by sacrificing for one another and lending a helping hand to those in need. I’m filled with a sense of pride and hope when I see the actions of my fellow Ohioans. This is why Ohio will return stronger than before. Continue the actions that keep all of us safe as we look forward to returning to our normal lives, changed for the better. I want to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Easter, and remember hope is on the horizon. If I can be a source of help or encouragement to you during this time please don't hesitate to reach out to my office at sd20@OhioSenate.gov or call (614) 466-8076.
