Controlling Board Approves Over $34 Million for Multiple Projects in 20th Senate District

COLUMBUS - State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) today announced the approval of over $34 million for projects across the 20th Senate District by the state's Controlling Board.

"Ensuring our infrastructure, universities, and parks are updated and well maintained is critical for the health of our area," Schaffer said. "I'm thankful that funds continue to be released to invest in the people of the 20th Senate District."

Projects approved for funding today include:
  • $33,500,000.00 to improve the various lock and dam structures that make up the Muskingum River Parkway in McConnelsville.
  • $413,979.50 to repair the asphalt and restripe the parking lot at the McConnelsville National Guard Armory, in McConnelsville.
  • $366,500.00 for the HVAC and Energy Efficiency Improvements project for Ohio University Zanesville Campus.
  • $52,775.00 for professional design services for the Front Entry Upgrades Project at the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster, Ohio.
Funds were secured through the state capital appropriations legislation passed as part of the state operating budget and signed into law in June of 2021, in the 134th General Assembly. More information can be found on the Controlling Board website.
