Schaffer Announces Funds for Renovations and Improvements in 20th Senate District

COLUMBUS—State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) announced today the approval by the state's Controlling Board of over $3 million for various construction projects, buildings, and renovations throughout the 20th Senate District.

"I am proud of the continued investment in the infrastructure of the 20th Senate District," said Schaffer. "A new school, improved campgrounds and additional supports to our correctional facilities will make the district a better place for our residents and visitors."

Among the projects, $1 million was approved for renovations of the cabins at Salt Fork state park and $1.4 million will be released to Logan Elm School District for continued construction of a new Pre K-12 school house. Additionally, $622,800 was approved for a new vocational building at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility and $95,500 will go to the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster for erosion correction and security improvements.
